Nice hike, not very hard with beautiful vistas and quite a few animals to see like Blesbok, Giraffe, Blou Wildebeest, Eland, Zebra, Impala and more. We didn’t book any lapas but it’s definitely worth your while to book one and have a picnic or a braai there. They all looked very well situated and well maintained. Not a lot of shade so take a hat.

Nice hike, not very hard with beautiful vistas and quite a few animals to see like Blesbok, Giraffe, Blou Wildebeest, Eland, Zebra, Impala and more. Had a lovely weekend stay at Somabula. Close to Jhb and Pta, and very reasonably priced too. Our family enjoyed our comfy thatched chalet. Lots of bird species to spot. We will be back!

What a wonderful weekend. This was our second time camping at Somabula. We camped at Egret campsite, and it was amazing. Saw all the plains animals and enjoyed the bird life, peace and quitness. Will be back again. Ina & Gerhard

My friend and I had the most amazing experience, as we turned a small curve on our trail, we came face to face with a giraffe. We were literally within touching distance of each other. We were so unprepared for the encounter, we couldn’t take pictures even though I had my phone in my hand. We just stood there, taking in the massiveness of this giraffe and it also just stared at us. That was truly amazing.
